Ok... I am Starting on a project with a Box Truck Diesel small inline six and Auto Tranny

Since i already have it.

I want to Run a Divorced Case off the back of it.
but a 205 isnt Low enough.
and i dont want to run divorced case into a divorced case if i can keep from adding the extra length.

Does anyone Make a Doubler for a divorced case ?

or is there a way i can make it ?

or something.

Ideas ?

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dunno: :hack: :weld:

You can use a divorced 203 range box, normal doubler adapter, and normal 205.

If you're not short on money, Klune V makes one.
It'll run you around 2K.

If your gonna spend $2k, Why not run an Atlas then ?

Trying to spend quite a bit less. :cool1:
Well I am not spending 2K just yet, but when you get the klune or a doubler you have choices of 4 gear ratios not 2: one deep and one stock.
You get Hi, HI, Low LOW hi Low and LOW hi with the low in each being different you get 4 gear ratios.

True. But. i hardly ever take my CJ out of LOW as it is.
but its a NV4500 and D300 and rockwells. = 100-to-1

with rockwells again (99% chance) and this auto trans 1st Gear being 3.05 and Converter making it 6ish
- Atlas 3.8 it would be. 150-to-1 about.
- just a 205 would be 75-to-1
- Double Case - Back up to 140-to-1

Don't you need to put the Klune between tranny and t-case ?
and that woudnt work with a 2wd trans right ?

Correct, the Klune would go between the tranny and Tcase.

You need what the other guy mentioned. A divorced NP203 range box with any NP205 mated to it. The divorced 203 could go on a jack shaft off the 2wd auto. You better have 115+ "s of wheelbase though

I have 107"s with a manual (sm420) custom 3" adaptor, NP203 range box, Jeds doubler, NP205 in my jeep and it leaves a 21" driveshaft. Add the auto wich has to be a foot longer than a 420 (11"s) and the jack shaft and you got no driveshaft left if you are under 105"s. You mentioned a CJ, that will not work without a real long wheelbase extension.

My CJ in Current Config. is 114" wb.

And with Rockwells a 21" Driveshaft is Pleanty.
Mine is currently about 18" with Tons of Travel left.

But i am going to building Tube Buggy. So i can make it whatever i want.

I am planning on the 110"-115" though.
with the Motor WAY forward in the Chassis and the Radiator in the Rear.

So does anyone have the 203 RB or the 205 ? :D

Yah, I looked at your pics in your sig after I posted. Looks like you know about wheelbase stretching. Hard to tell a dreamer from someone who knows what there talking about on these forums.

Well if you go on the Klune V website and check, they have a setup for a divorced case.
It will work with a 2wd tranny, it bolts up to a divorced Tcase and has a cover and a yoke on the front.
just a couple hundred more.
Klune V is about $1750 plus the adapter to make it divorced is total of about $2000.
:D
Anyways, good luck finding a divorced 203, I know they are out there, I was supposed to get one but still didn't get any response back from the guy in a few months.
