divorced t-case cross member tube requirements ?

I need to fab up a new cross member for a friends truck that needs a divorced t-case .

I have avalible easy some 2"x2" tube that's 1/8" wall . would this be strong for the needs of the case ? it will get 4 of kirts diy4x builder bushings on it also .

Even thats overkill from an engineering standpoint when you think about what the tcase needs alone to be support and support the torque through it.

Now if skids are going to be built off of it its a completely different story. Then I would say 2x2 1/8wall would be a good base to mount on and then plate over.
 
will be hanging down from top side of frame rails .

truck I am working on is a major mutt truck to say the least. build / pics thread will be alone at some point.

I figured it would be pleanty fine to build off of. :waytogo:
