Anyone ever bought a weld up kit and did it themselves? I'm looking into fenderwell headers and came across a weld your own kit on Speedway Motors. The kit seams fairly priced and as long as you have the tools not to hard to do.....

I was originally thinking getting these and then making them fit but there only 1 7/8 primary's......

Is this for a truck application or a Tri-5? I don't know how well Tri-5 headers fit the truck chassis. If it's for a truck, have you looked into MadDog headers? More money, but they are a quality piece that fits great. Lots of different options for primary/collector sizes too. http://maddogheaders.net/products/4x4

Yep for a K5, I've heard couple people use the Tri-Five but its a crap shoot if they hit the steering shaft or not. I've looked @ the MadDog ones but there also $200+ more than these ones. For something that doesn't get driven a lot I'm trying to get out cheaper.....

I've built a few sets of headers over the years. Never bought a kit like that. Just bought J tubes and went from there. Seems if they are all prebent like that, not to many ways they can be put together. In other words, you might as well buy the finished header.
