I didn't post this in Communication Forum because its more mech. than elec.
I got fed-up with the clip that came with (Cobra). I made this from the hook on a coat hangar. A little heat and bend. Watch-out, threads in the chassis are metric.:D

Nice job on the hook.

How is the CB mounted to the roof?
The Cobra comes with the typical wide "U" shaped bracket plus thumbwheel screws threaded into the chassis. If you look at LMC or the factory parts manual, you'll find a healthy rib inside the roof skin, just behind the windsheild. I actually cut a rectangle in the headliner, but with the CB there and sunvisors, it doesn't show; not that I care. :haha: I used sheetmetal screws into the rib.

do0D that's INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Ya know, its funny too. With the CB mounted up there, its like cops give me the wave off. I go to work at three in the morning, when cops are picking on bar closers. They'll follow me long enough to check on the 'puter, and then back off. I think its because of the Mic cord hangin down.
I don't know, happened more than once.:D
