With the diy shackle flip what would you have to do to make it match the front 8inch springs on my truck..? any ideas..?

do you mean like a four inch shackle flip w four inch springs? or like a 2 inch flip with maybe 63" rear springs? is that what your askin?

my truck sees mud and trails, not much hardcore here for full size stuff.....i was thinking of doing the shackle flip but already have 8inch front springs....and im not sure how good they flex so would it be better just to get the 8inch rear springs to match my front since they are 110.00 each......im not sure what to do..? any ideas..?

oh im right there with you all my truck sees is some trails and mud so i would go with the springs. regardless your gonna have to buy new springs whether they are 4,6, or 8. but if you get the first two then you still have to pay the 150 for the shackle flip. but that my .02

and reading people say about having worse axle rap also might turn me to the springs too, im thinking of the 8inch springs also, i made it so high because i have all gm new body pannels and dont wana cut em...

i'd run a combo of kerts flip, a 3,4" spring and a little longer shackle..

8" rear springs gotta ride like a tank... a 4" springs gonna handle axlewrap fine, unless your going long, etc..

i know what u mean about riding like a tank, my fronts only do good because of the weight of the motor......would it ride alot better with the flip and 4inch springs..?.....this might be harder than i thought..lol

i am running approx. 8-9" on the rear, a combo of 6"skyjacker springs and a 2.5" ORD shackle flip. i went that route because i already had the springs and for 6" they rode pretty decent. if i had to do it from scratch i would have done the DIY flip and 4" springs and fine tuned with either shackle length or even a zero rate if needed. that's my $.02 at least.

thanks alot guys ill look into it...the flip and the 4in sprngs sound real good
