i just ordered these disk brake brackets from kert:waytogo::woot:, and have a quick question, when i get this in and do the conversion, when i go to my parts store for the rotors and calipers... any paticular rotor or caliper, better than the others? also, what lug studs should i get to press thru the rotor and hub? :deal:

i asked kert everything i could think of, and got part #'s for the brakelines:bow:, he also told me the stock studs will work, but he said some people get a longer stud for more thread engagement/strength. so, for the people who have done this disk brake conversion...what studs did you use?:ears:

what size/diameter are the stock studs, as i may order some high tensil strenth studs from summit or jegs...thanks ahead of time for sharing your knowledge!

Stock studs here. Still has a couple threads sticking out with everything on. I thought i was going to mess them up when taking them apart, so i bought all new ones from napa. This was 3 years ago so not quite sure on the part numbers, but iirc, the studs were 3.50 a piece and I had to get 5 now and the rest later (2 trips) and there dorman studs so ask the guy for the dorman catalog when comparing studs most of the guys have no clue.

LOL
The caddy calipers have the Ebrake in them, but if you dont use the Ebrake all the time, it will not hold very well. They are more expensive than the regular calipers. Half ton fronts, that is.
You may want to do a search for more info. this has been covered a thousand times.

The wheel studs thing is "usually" as follows:

Steel wheels - stock studs
Aluminum wheels - use dually studs
