DIY4X cage install

This is to Kurt at DIY4X...does this kit work on a K10? I'd prefer not to punch holes in the back of my P/U cab. The kit and install on a Blazer looks great!! I hope I can get a P/U kit

I believe the first kit he made was designed for the trucks. I remember being pretty excited about these kits and I only have k10s, no blazers. I plan on putting one in each of my trucks even though they don't see that much offroad

I believe that's why you have to call him to order the cage. I'd say you can add whatever you want when you order the cage.
Looking at getting one of these cages myself for my K10

If you look at the link in my cage video you will find a video Kurt did on the K10 cage. No need to punch holes in the cab. Kurt really has made a great product here.

I didn't get into them in detail, but the staked cage design, the sleeved halo and the seat belt bracket really made a huge difference.

The fit is superb. I literally lay the halo on my garage floor, burned in the rosette welds and seams and it fit like a glove. No massaging, or monkey humping needed. The same for the b pillar. Burn it in, use a ratchet strap to get it where you want it and tack in the seat brackets. They really really produce a solid fixation point for the cage.

The staked cage design sandwiches the floor between the top and bottom plate and the bottom plate stake drives up into the cage securing it. Really well thought out.

This is the first cage I have put in, and I just learned to weld last year. Here are some shots to give you an idea of the finished product.

As stated earlier, the cage kit was originally designed off of a pickup cab and then we went back and did it for the blazer as well.

If you are familiar with the pickups, blazers, subs and crew cabs, its not to difficult to extrapolate some information from one to the others.

We got quite few of these cages out there now and so far, we've received a lot of positive feedback.

If ya got any questions feel free to post 'em up.

Great job on the videos, 4wheelinfury! I laughed my ass off!
