I am taking a bit of a half day today from work, and I got some stuff done on the truck. :woot: I finished routing my wiring into the loom from my headlight relay upgrade. Feels good to have everything buttoned up on the wiring.

I was also able to get my driver's side fender emblem installed. What a pain in the ass! I tried myriad methods of NOT removing the fender first, and wasted a TON of time doing it. I had to take the fender completely off the truck, but I wanted to leave all the wiring/hoses attached. So, I pulled it off and set it on the tire so that I had enough working space. Also, I painted these emblems with a million coats of paint, which made hand-threading the nuts onto the studs not possible. But, it didn't offer enough resistance for the ratchet to work either. :doah:

Anyway, I'm really happy with how they look. I think it's really cool looking, and worth the effort. The passenger side should go quicker, though I'll have slightly more disassembly there since my battery is mounted on that side.

Looks nice, now you need to do like 4x4high and get the 3500 door moldings off an r/v 30.

I suggested take them off entirely. The new and old style (molding vs fender) emblems were never on the same truck.

Looks good colby!

That's a cool idea. I took the 1500 badge off today, but didn't really like how it looked empty. So, perhaps getting some 3500 door badges would be cool.

I don't mind the two styles together, but I don't like the conflicting numbers.

Neither were 1 ton axles and 38s but you dont see me bitchin  :D

Truth. ;)

Looks good! I second the 3500 emblems or the removal of the mouldings.

anyone know what kind of machine makes these? i assume a cnc machine of some sort, but like a water jet or something?

I think Kert runs a plasma table, but I'm sure he'll be along to verify....

I want one that says "Not a Bronco"

cuz idiots call my Blazer a Bronco. :doah:

My answer is always;

To tell the diffrence look at the grill, they circle the problem on bronco's.

That looks plasma to me. Water jet is usually tighter in the corners.

Nice looking badges though........ and just 'cuz......

Badges we don't need no stinking badges......

Looks like a plasm table. Ive been kicking around a few ideas in my head since Colby posted this. I have access to a PlasmCam table :D

That looks great Colby!

Still trying to decide on what I want to do on my crew for some custom fender badges.

I may try to get the other side installed this weekend. But, I'm going wheeling tomorrow, and brewing beer on Sunday. So, perhaps not.

Thanks for all the compliments! :)
