This went into my '74 K10 and is a pretty straight forward install. The dash fit like a glove. Biggest challenge is cleaning up all the mess from 37 years of age and 37 years of previous owners.

Removed old dash:

Installed Dash. Just waiting for my gauges to show up:

next on the list is to clean up the floor, add a layer of paint, and then install this MIP 1/8" thick floor mat from LMC.

I think it would look alot better if you could either mount the heater controls from the backside, or make a trim piece around them. Just a thought ive noticed with these dashes, otherwise everything is sweeet!

heater controls from back easy to do. ask kirt to use the cut layout from mine as thats how i set mine up. just have to trim the little webs from the 4 mount feet to make a flush fit on the back and it fits fine.

but if you dont elevate the front face panel ( like i did ) or move the location a tiny bit the 2 lower tabs will be super close to the radius bend .

and nice dash install there. :thumb: good writeup with pics.

p.s. anymre info on my dash check my sig line.

yeah, i was debating on mounting the heater control behind the panel, but it was the end of the day so i just threw it on real quick, just to take a picture.

i am going to do the rear mount tomorrow when i get off work.

That looks sweet! you should just clear coat that bitch and run it! When you get vinyl floor make sure to lay it out in the sun and let it get nice and warm. A heat gun will be a big help too. :waytogo:

Got some gauges in. I can actually read them, day or night.:woot:

The pictures are pretty terrible, but these gauges are like 1000% more visible than the OE gauges.
