I'm ordering one today and am not sure which shackle length to get. I've searched and not really found anything. I have 52" stock springs in the back now and have a 5.5" block. I have 6" BDS springs in the front and want to beef up the back and get it up to a true 6" or a bit more lift in the rear. I don't mind buying a set of 56" rears if it would work better. Seems like I have seen some recommending the 4.5" shackles with 52's and the 6" ones with 56's. Can anybody help with this? I'd appreciate it.

Tom

Kert recommended that I run the 6" shackle in the back of my truck and I'm running 52's. Plus if you ever wanna upgrade to 56" springs, you wouldnt have to buy shackles. I don't think the flip and a 6" shackle is going to net your 6" of desired lift in the back though. You might want to think about running a zero rate in the rear. I don't know if you'll be able to get 6" out of the 56's and the 6" shackles. I heard some ppl say they have and other say they haven't. E-mail or PM Kert and see what kind of ideas he has.

thanks

I appreciate the help. I went ahead and ordered it with the 6" shackles and the greasable bushings/bolts for the rear springs. He told me that it should net about 5" of lift with the longer shackle. I guess I need a zero rate to get the rest. I've used ORD stuff and it is nice, but I saw that Black Widow has them in 1,1.5, or 2". I'm a little hesitant of ordering from them since it looks like they just copy other peoples designs which I don't think is too cool. What do you think? I want it to sit level with no saggy butt.

Then you don't know us too well. Lots of R&D goes into everything we make. We don't buy someone elses parts and "copy" them. Period.

Weither it be Shane and the crew at BWP or Kert @ DIY or even Stephen at ORD they each offer great products for every level or mod and I'v done business with each of them and I'm very happy.

And on the comment of "copying" just for the record how many ways can you make a zero rate? pretty much any chunk of metal with a couple holes could be considered a zero rate.

And I think only a few people know that ORD doesn't make thier steering box braces they are made by Autofab.

oh back on topic a standard flip with a 6" shackle should be close to 5" depending on what springs you use.

Didn't realize you were a member on here. My comment wasn't based on the zero rate, but on the design of the flip. I see that this was discussed when you announced the product and I wasn't intending to bring that whole thing up again. I don't want to ruffle your feathers either. You do make quality products and I may still end up ordering some of them.
