do hypertech units work?

i have a 96 c3500 2x4 truck and it has 350 vortec with 4l80-e and 4.10 rear. will i see a power jump or not? and do you like them? if not what brand is good? this truck is dd and trailer hauler, trailer is 2800lbs and 10k total load. thanks felow ck5ers.

i know the guys w/ 99+ chevys swear by them. i think computers in those trucks are alot more adjustable tho. ttt for ya
