i just bought a 1973 blazer and i am trying to tell if i need the convesion kit for the t-case how do i tell if my hubs are auto locking

It would be worth doing a search for this sort of stuff as it's been covered several billion times....well almost.:)

how do i tell if i have auto locking hubs. I know i dont have manuals but i pulled my hub cover off and had this spring there is it an auto lock

Sounds like a full-time hub to me. When I converted my 3/4 ton d44, the factory hubs had a big spring in them, but nothing to "lock" them. They were always locked...

Converting the 203 and converting to locking hubs are two different projects. If you want to know if the t-case is converted, the case should be (from the front to back) 4L, 2L, N, 2H, 4H. Put the shifter in 2L and do a torque stand. If your back tires brake loose, you have 2wd.

If you don't have locking hubs up front, they are always locked in.
