I just bought a 1990 K5 Blazer 4x4 and I am new to the K5 world. I am going to order a BDS 4" lift with two extra shocks for the front end and the stabilizer also. My question is, will I need a transfer case lowering kit for that or is the stock height fine?

no.. lowering your tc is bad, it helps your back angle, but hurt's your front shaft angle....

and you don't need 2 extra shocks for the front, waste of money..

buy a tuff country with easy ride springs and save a few bucks .

next skip the extra shocks they have proven to be useless in stuff not raced .

t/case lowering kit helps the rear shaft but kills the front c/v head working angle a lot of times. best to install lift and go from there . we have found over the years a t/case lowering kit is just a giant bandaid that causes more problems.

the steering stabilizer is good in single form up to 35" tires . then if need more or looks 2 is o.k.

your other post of loose steering be more specific ?

at the wheel ?

in the wheel like whole coloum is loose in tilt ?

in general ?

have you checked ball joints / tie rod ends / frame for cracks were box bolts or loose box to frame bolts ? few to start with .

let us know more thanks . :thumb:

Yeah I want to put 35x12.5 tires and 15x8 wheels. So one steering stablazer wI'll probably be fine. Thank you guys for the input. So the two shocks up front don't make a difference for the extra money?
