Do I need this bracket?

I'm about to turn loose the fury on several frame rivets. This bracket to my knowledge went to the stock exhaust which has been long gone for who knows how long. Is this bracket necessary? I'm ready to remove it. I'm not 100% sure what is though. Any insight?

up to you on how you plan to do next exhaust .

and removed rivets best filled with 7/16 bolts and a bit of smooth shank on bolt and i use crimp nuts / stover nuts also need some thick washers to dial it in perfect .

It must not have been too important when they ran the dual exhaust before I took the body off. It wasn't even used. That's why I was not 100% what it was for. I think you'd be happy if you saw my hardware box. I've got sacks full of stover nuts. Great minds think alike.

Yeah, don't take them off until you're 100% sure you won't use them again
