found the answer to the first part of my question. 2nd part: my carb has vacuum lines that go to the canister in the front corner, do i need to buy another carb or can I just plug the holes?

I guess it depends on if you have to pass an emission test.

if No plug them, and don't use evap system
(charcoal canister)
