Do I need to rotate my axles?

If I lift my K5 8 inches with springs, do I need to cut, rotate, and weld my axles to get proper angles, or will shims work? I know that it could get really expensive to rotate a D60 and 14 bolt, because I don't think that it's something I would feel comfortable doing. I hate to waste all that money if it's not necessary. Has anybody done an 8 inch suspension lift here? If so, let me know what I need to look for and what to expect.

Shouldn't it be called uncommon sense?

The expensive part is having someone rotate the FRONT axle. I'm not sure if you would have to do that for a 8" lift or not. I'm going to have around that much and I don't plan on doing it but who knows. To correct the rear you can just use shims, move the spring hangers, or do a shackle flip.
