theres way to many, and I doubt anyone except the person that did it, will rememeber how to finish it, your best bet is to stgart looking... start here

One time when I was cheap and poor I put a pinto alternator in my Chevelle that was sitting in the backyard . Ran it unregulated and it swelled my Battery , but it lasted until PayDay /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

To make it fit I used lug nuts as spacers for the bottom bolt to the head /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

i used duct tape to cover the hole in my floor so no mudd would get inside...does that count?

I built my anti wrap bar and did my hydro assist, both could be done cheap and DIY.

If my box wasn't tapped and I'd done it myself I could have done the whole thing for $120 including the drillbit and tap.

I added a power steering cooler to my system. 1 free transmission cooler, 4 ft of hose $3, and some clamps, $1.50. Now my pump doesn't whine and overflow on long wheelin trips /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

yeah, removing stock [censored] you dont need (especially if its heavy, non-functional or isnt waterproof) and throwing it away and fender trimming / axle grinding is prolly the best place the start...
