Anybody know of any good durable do it yourself spray/roll in liners for the K5 interior?

Herculiner. Look through the interior forum. Alot of people have discussed it

Also try talking to Blaze in the Vendor forum, he carries the Al's liner which is available in other colors. He can even match most colors with a sample, and a bit of cash. Price is comparable to most of the DIY stuff, and it appears to be a very nice finished product.

Just remember with any kit, you get out what you put in. Skimp on the prepwork and it will show up very soon after application. Follow the manufacturers directions on prep, and it will produce a long lasting coating.

I'm currently researching Durabak, lots of color options, different textures available, and a good reputation (although I haven't seen it in person). I actually have a current post asking for input on it now here in the garage. I like Herculiner, it holds up well, price is good, but I feel for an interior it is a little rough. It sucks if you are laying on it trying to work under the dash (cheese grater action for your back) and being rough it holds alot of dirt which makes it harder to clean. http://www.coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248568 check out the link to a project 4 wheel and offroad did on a K5 and used durabak on the inside.

my biggest complaint about herculiner is that it holds dirt like no other. i can never get mine fully clean anymore. also i spill so brake fluid on it and it pulled the herculiner up. good cheap product but not as good as a spray in. once i get cash flow i am going to get the interior done right maybe have the rest of the truck done as well. no more pinstripping. wonder how much that adds to the weight.

Al's Liner! :D

I may be biased, but I know it is good! It isn't filled with solvents like a lot of the DIY kits. Plus it is tougher than most of them, Durabak included.

And FWIW, I have a lot of requests for people who want to spray over the Herculiner in their vehicles.

I have Al's over faded and peeling Line-X in the bed of my truck and it is great. I have hauled everything from a chopped up tree to a 350/700R4 dropout in it and the liner still looks great.

Well, it looks good in the spots that weren't sanded down by the body shop after my accident or the spot where the Line-X lifted off the bed and took the Al's with it.

I'm sure there are some on here somewhere but do you have pics of your stuff on a k5 or an interior. I wouldn't mind buyin some here soon

Does Al's Liner offer a smooth version suitable for painting the exterior of the vehicle as well?

What about the Duplicolor one? They have aerosol cans too. Check out their website, they have demos and they do not require too much time to prep.

I don't have any pics of it sprayed on a K5 interior yet. I've sold a bunch on here, but no one has posted or emailed me pics. Here are some pics of it in a van, in a truck cab, and in a 95 Z28.

And cdogg, there is no smooth version of it. You can remove the chemical that gives it vertical cling and it would lay out smoother, but you'd end up having to go like 4-5 REALLY thin coats and it would take forever to keep it from running.

Retail on them is $95 per gallon and $55 for the gun.

I give nice discounts for CK5 members, though. PM or email me and I'll take care of ya. :)
