I just got through resealing my engine with the major goal of getting rid of all of my leaks. unfortunately I still have a slight leak from my power steering pump. The pressure line probably has been torqued higher than any other bolt on the truck and yet I'm still getting small amounts coming out of it.

Anybody got any tricks? :dunno:

It may have o-rings on the hoses if its a box from around 1980 and up too, they can leak no matter how tight you put them, the hose is still able to swivel even with it tourqed tightly..

I have a hard time keeping the "canned ham" resiviours on my trucks from rotting thru on the bottom..and the pitman shaft seal or the one on the steering colum end from leaking..they sit too much and they dry out or rot..:doah:

Every chevy I've ever had has had at least seepage of power steering somewhere in the system. It's just how it is and I don't fight it anymore. Mine marks its territory every time I stop. Lol

I have in the past taken the fitting out of the power steering box ( really easy to do) and taken the line off and sanded them with some fine grit sandpaper.

That stopped mine
