Do these spring bushings exist?

I know nothing about the sizes of available spring bushings.

Do the bushings have to touch in the middle of the eye, or can there be a gap between them?

I am looking for some spring bushings that meet all of the following:

1. Must work on a stock leaf spring from an '89 C1500 (63" spring?)
2. Must use a 5/8" spring bolt.
3. These springs are replacing some 3" wide Ford springs, so the bushing has to be wide enough to be used in a spring hanger that is 3.5" wide.

Where can I (affordably) buy these?

I would think they would be OK with some gap. The ideal would be no gap, of course, but seeing as how the gap is inside the wrapped eye, I would think it's ok. I can't imagine the gap being too big, so it should only be off by 1/8 - 1/4 inch anyway.

www.summitracing.com Has a pretty respectable selection of bushing. Just search under leaf spring bushings. Maybe they have the ones you're looking for.
