Yep, Home Depot still sells them. And it worked great.

It's usually operator error when it is said that it sucks. Read and follow the instructions :p: !

I've only used it a couple of times, with good results, several years back. It contains products, known by the state of california, that can cause cancer. :thumb: I'd use it again if I had a need.

hell i smoke so cancer is not a concern.:D WTF did i miss when i used it? was yours surface rust?mine was pretty deep, rotted rust.

Mine was just mostly surface stuff, with some small spots that were getting a little flakey and deep. It was on the tailgate of my old K5, an 84. I noticed the trim comming off one day, and the next it was gone. When I stated cleaning up the area to repaint it minus the trim, I notice some rust had been hiding under there, where it had not contacted the sheetmetal for a while. Turned out to be a little bigger "quick fix" than i had planned, but at least it got done correctly.

That single trim part, just under the tailgate insert just hold water, and will eventually cause rust in my opinion.

Anyway, I cleaned it up really well, and used the NJ... primered and painted. It was a two tone, so I just carried the middle color down the rest of the gate, like they did on the later K5's.

I hear it is all in the hand action. The harder you rub the better it does! :D

According to the state of California EVERYTHING causes cancer.

Rust dissolver.

You have to paint it immediately after or it will re-rust twice as fast.

Well, since you live in Texas you should be fine :thumb: . Just don't use it in California, or you might end up getting cancer :eek1: :doah:.
