Do you like your Warn Hubs?

Im on my 2nd set of milemarkers in less than 2 yrs. Always ran warn before never any problems. The D44 i put in came with the milemarkers and they never have worked smoothly since day 1. Ill run these till there shot and get a set of warn premiums.

Geeze...I think I will just keep my factory auto hubs until you guys make up your mind....11 years old and still working...lol...Just stirring the pot

Mine are 16 years old and still work

My granddad's are 17 years old and have NEVER had a problem. I do want manuals eventually, just on the basis of age, and replacing every possible component when I rebuild my frontend.

Maybe we could get one of our resident machinists to
design and produce "O"-ringed aluminum or stainless dials for Spicers - then we would have the ultimate hub - And I could get a set for free as a "concept fee"

If the shoe fits, get another one just like it

I have Warn Premiums front and rear. Never had a single problem...and in the world of off-road, that is truly high-praise. ;)

Locking hubs are like any other part of the truck, if you don't maintain them they will start having problems. I had a set of Warn premiums for around a year or so when they started getting a little "sticky" when locking them in. The splines and such are a pretty tight fit together, so it doesn't take much grit or rust at all to cause problems. After taking them apart, cleaning them, and applying a real light coat of grease they again work really smooth. I found that some light spray grease works really well and doesn't require the hub to be completely take apart.

You have to remember that it's pretty common to get at least small amounts of dirt and water into the hub. The dirt and rust will buildup and can cause some problems, and you can also get condensation inside the hubs when running warm parts through cold water holes.

I have never had any fitment problems with the Warns.

I ran M&M Premiums for a while and they were nice. Then had a set of spicers. The thing I didn't like about the Spicers was the PITA install and then they quit working on me. I took them apart many time and tried to get them to work right again, but they wouldn't Everything inside looked fine, but they wouldn't unlock at times and I would have to take them apart. This happened with grease in the and without. I got fed up an bought a set of Warn Premiums. Very easy to install and work great!
