Figured this would be the best place to post. 75 3/4 ton 4x4 frame and supposedly 4" lift. Guy says frame is straight and crack free, never been twisted and such. For a while, ive been either wanting a 4x4 longbed or covert my truck (77 2wd, my first truck) into a 4x4. It has no axles, no transfercase, no driveshafts, no trans, was orignaly a th350 203 i believe. He wants 350 for everything. In my opinion i think thats a ltitle high, and the 4" lift doesnt really appeal to me, not quite big enough, but then again being a 3/4 ton 4x4, they sat pretty high to begin with (the 76 3/4 4x4 my dad has down on the farm sits just about perfect for stock@300k miles).

Pros: supposibly good, striaght frame, 73-80 so it will bolt right into my truck, and a 4" lift

Cons: No tranny, transfer case, driveshaft or axles. No center hump either (i would have to modify my 2wd floor since mines a th350 right now)

Whats your guys opinion? I was thinking it would be work 100 or so, 200 max, a plus would be if its a leaf style suspension, rather than blocks. Then again, the shackle flip gives you a 4" lift, and what i planned to do if i wanted it higher. And being a 3/4, i dobut the leafs are usable on my k5 (i wanted a 6 or 8 inch on there anyway).

Heck, i let a 73 3/4 ton th400/np203 i beleive go for 800 dollars, saw it on craigslsit, had the money ready, had something come up never went and looked at it, guy sold it, and i regret not picking it up. I just think 350 for just a frame and a leafs is a ltitle high.

think 100 bucks for the frame would be good? maybe offer him 50?

Id love to find a virgin 3/4 ton 4x4. Would it be better to look for a truck with the th400 if you wanted to eventually do a 4l80e or nv4500 with a 203/205 doubler? Would it rather be a 205 or 203 also? Gives me some better to rains of what to search for if i pass on the frame. Maybe if someone has one laying in their field wink wink ill haul for a good price. lol.

I think hes in a mood to sell, he just asked me what id give for the frame, so he must need to get it out of there or need some cash.

If it's just the frame. 12 pack of his favorite drink -tops. Scrap is in the ****ter your doin him a favor by moving his junk.

if i was only 21 :(

I figure 100-200 would be top dollar, i mean how much is a 4 inch lift if all spring? like 400 new or so for just leaves? And these are used, probably used pretty hard., there was a reason the truck was parted out ya know.

do yourself a favor and pass on it.

the problem with something stripped down that far is EVERYTHING is usually mising like brake lines gas lines ect it is a TON of work to swap EVERYTHING. if he will take $50 get it for the lift and then look for another complete truck.

I have a mostly complete light 3/4 ton sittin out back and I probably wouldnt ask more than what he was asking for the bare frame and lift.
I have robbed a few parts from it but its MOSLY there.

Im not offering it for sale by the way just a for instance.
