I just bought a used mile marker conversion kit for a NP 203, After looking at it closer there is two chunks missing from each of the gears, one had a the part still on but came off after i poked at it, heres some pics of it

get your money back. if its broken now it can only get worse. why would you install broken parts in something that isn't the easiest to fix later. figure how long is it going to take to install, then uninstall when it gets real bad, then rebuild your T-case cause little chunks of metal have been flying around in there.

unless the guy that sold it to you informed you that they were broken or cracked. then it's on you.

Caveat Emptor.
 
Is it this part that you are concerned about? I have seen spider gears in a diff with much more damage than that last for a long time.

That probably happened from poor maintenance and/or water/mud contamination.

Ultimately, its up to you. What you recieved is not perfect but if that is the only problem I don't consider it a huge deal. My .02

The corner being knocked off isn't a big deal.It'll work fine in your 203 cause it's working fine in mine and I'm putting some power through it.-Allen

thats not what im worried about what you have circled is the MM marking, my worrie is the upper corners all missing
