Dodge 208= Chevy 208?

My friend has a 85 ramchager he is junking.. what is worth stealing from it that could work on my truck, it has a 208 tcase so i figure that it would work if i ever need another one am i wrong? Anything else that can be used? swaped over? thanks Mike

The Dodge 208 is useful, but it does not bolt into a Chevy. Search for the numerous posts on fixed yoke conversion for Chevy 208s. You need some parts from a Dodge 208 to do it.

Grab the NP208. It uses a 23 spline input, and it is not a direct swap, but it has the parts you need to a SYE. SEARCH for more info. It was discussed as recently as last week.

Has anyone just swapped input shaftout of the dodge case with the chevy input?? Seems alot easier then having to do welding and all of that with the case.
