I found an '83 dodge D250 4x4 for sale where I live, and was wondering if anyone knew if the older 3/4 ton dodges had D60 fronts? If so, this truck could be a very good deal! Thanks for any information. Also, I know the spring pads on the Dodge 60's are like 1/2" wider than the GM's, Does someone make offset spring bushings to compensate for this?

That's what it should be and the D44 will not have locking hubs if it had a NP203. It will look like a rear semi-floater. Don't go by the 3 u-bolts= a D60. The Dodge D44 had that set up as well. Look for kingpins.

Being a 79 it won't have the SF 60, didn't come out till 81-ish. Also, every Dodge 60 that I've had was out of a 3/4 ton....best way is too look for the huge lockouts and the kingpins....other than that not too much difference between the GM 60....

I think you misunderstood me. I was saying if it has an NP203 and a D44 front, the front will look like a semi float rear, as in no provisions for a locking hub.
