Anyone know the hex socket size for the spindle nut on a Dodge D60 front? Trying to order one from the local parts store, part # would be great too.

Not exactly sure what nut you are referring to. I have a Chevy D60, but guts are nearly identical. The tool to remove the wheel bearing retaining nut is a standard 1-ton hub socket. KD tools # 3246, got it from NAPA. The kingpin mounting stud on the knuckle requires a 7/8" allen key. I got mine from Grainger. Dont know of any other special size nut on the axle.

My friends got a Dodge D60, if you need a measurment of something else, let me know.

Dodge and some Ford rears use a standard Nut not a spindle nut like other Dana axles. 2.5" I got one from Sears but it isn't craftsman. OTC 1921 is stamped on it. It is a 3/4 drive though.

Weird I guess the ford one is different. Unless it is just because my 2.5" socket is a stamped steel thing so it is kind of round in the corners
