Found a local Dana 60 from a dodge. Is this a bolt on item for my chevy blazer (1991)? Guy said the perches are different by about 1/4 inch or so from chevy and will work fine.

im not 100% but i believe they r about 1" off...there is a thread on this already. im sure if u search u can find it.

I thought it was 1/2 inch total (1/4 per side). WMS-WMS one inch narrower and maybe slightly different shock mounts. Different, but still a bolt-in... or so I've read.

pretty dang close. you make up for the different perch width with diy4x thick washers and chop down your spring bushing 1/4 inch on the inside. easy cheesy.

the WMS is narrower, but with chevy hubs its the same as a chevy.
look closely at the brakelines, dodge did some wierd center brake line thing. im sure if you use chevy calipers it wont matter. my dodge 60 came with a 1350 yoke instead of the chevy 1310-30 whatever. ubolt plates are different, make sure you get those.

I looked through the old posts. I think I understand that the main prob is with the perch distance. Thanks for the help. Sorry to revisit this topic. Things are new to everyone at one time or another.
