A friend of mine bought an aircraft hangar several years ago (I think around 2002 or so). Included with the hangar was a bunch of what is mostly junk. It's in a town called Trona, CA - for those of you who think you live in/near the butthole of the earth, go to Trona and your view will reset.

Anyway, one of the things left in the hangar is a Dodge M37. It's basically the military version of a Power Wagon from the 1950's. I don't know the particular year on this one, but it's pretty much all original and in decent shape (straight body, no rust). I have no idea if it runs.

My friend has absolutely zero interest in the truck, and doesn't know what to do with it because he's got no paper on it (no DRMO-to-civvy transfer record, no title...nothin'). Soooo, it just sits there in the hangar.

I'm almost certain there's gotta be a collector market for these things. Any ideas out there on potential value? Any strategies for putting paper on it through the DMV?

value in good overall condition should be in the 5-7K range....restored or excellent condition 8-15K....add another 1500-2K for the Braden winch/bumper setup.
If its solid and not complete, I would think 1000-1500 for just the body/frame would be a decent deal.

Cool - thanks, guys.

I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need this thing. I think the price would be along the lines of a case of beer, but I don't need another project...:doah:

Those M37s are seriously cool.

Nobody ever needs another project, but you have to ask yourself...how often are you going to come across something this kickass for a case of beer?
