Dodge Ram ?

Please don't rag on me about driving a ram, it was all I could afford.

I have the 2006 4.6 (or was it 4.7) V8 and it is lacking in the umph department. I get about 14 mpg usually except road trips and I can push out 16 mpg. I think the biggest reason is the lack of horsepower. Where should I start with a few upgrades to help out the get up and go.

Its 4.7. Well if you whant bolt on umph. Look into a supercharger. Should give you what you are looking for. Paxton, Vortec, make kits for the 4.7.+Get better flowing exhaust.

If a supercharger is not in your price range. Headers, or at least Better flowing exhaust, cold air intake, And a programer or Chip will wake the engine up a bit.

I dont think any of the mods will help fuel MPG a lot. Dodge gas engines are thirsty beasts and like to drink fuel.
