Ok, So we have talked about having to enlarge the center hole on GM wheels to fit a dodge, most notably the H2's. Talking 8 lug here. So that would lead me to believe the dodge centers are larger? Can you put a dodge wheel on a chevy, and rely on the wheel being lug centric?

I've seen the 8 lug dodge premium wheels on a chevy....but only once.

And i found a screaming deal on a set, so i want ot make sure they will mount. If not, ill get the tires mounted on my wheels, so no big loss.

...and i did search. Lots about gm's on a chevy, but none the oher way around.

THanks guys!

You don't want to do this unless the wheels are designed to be lug centric.
If they are then yes.
I had one dodge wheel on my chevy before, it worked fine.

The reason you don't find more Dodge wheels on chevy trucks is that there are more chevy than dodge and chevy wheels are nicer :)

I don't know about them being nicer. I always liked the 2000+ alcoa 8 lug stockers, but they came with weeny sized tires. The 2000ish and newer 17" dodge's wiht the Michelin 265/70/17 's were super nice. I really like the rims i have from the 2007 3/4 ton chevy, and i may end up keeping them if these dodge wheels will be unsafe. Do they make adapter insert rings? I know you can do this on smaller cars for hubcentric wheels.....but never saw them on a truck.

I don't know if someone already makes them but they can be done.
The thing is you want to see what the wheels are, if they are lug centric, then no problemo. :D
Easy to know too, usually if they are lug centric, they will have the taper for acorn lug nuts, or countersunk hole for the flanged nuts.
If they are hub centric they will be just flat.
I believe most wheels these day are lug centric untill you go to Medium duty trucks and up they mostly are hub centric.

All the newer stock 8 lug wheels i've seen were tapered lugs. I just thought they were hub centric based on how snug the hub fittment was. Guess if they are tapered lugs, i should be ok. The chevy ones i have are tapered lugs, and AFAIK this dodge ones are too.

I know the Dodge wheels are lug centric, or at least use tapered lug openings. I need 8 lug wheels and can find some pretty screaming deals on 8 lug Dodge stuff, and I don't mind the look. May even use my Dad's spare set until I can afford the set I want.

Ok, so sweet. If they are lug centric, and the hubs fit, i am in business.

I'll probably run them temporarily, and see what i can make more money on.....this set, or the set i am removing. If i sell my balder set, i'll run the dodge's with highway tires for a while. If i make money on the new set, i'll buy some 33 12.50 BFG's like i really want, and save some $$$ overall on teh deal. Thanks guys!
