does a driverside door lock work on passenger side?

just wondering. i have a drivers door with the key lying out back. someone f'ed up my passenger door lock a month back so i need to replaced the lock. i tried doing this with a s10 and i know the sides are different. how bout on the k5s?

I *think* they are, I swapped a set once, and I'm pretty sure that the lever part that makes it move are on opposite sides.

IIRC, the lever is attached to the lock cylinder with a clip. So the cylinder would be the same for each side.

Yes. I traded mine from side to side once trying to solve a problem.

thanks... i just didnt want to have to tear apart two doors and put them back together for no reason
