Post them up if you got some just curious what they look like all assembled if you kept them threads down. If not what did you do? Could make some plates and use regular ubolts. Still making up my mind.

I wanted to get the threads on top for ground clearance so I made plates for mine. I used ubolts on the pass side (threads up). On the drivers side I used the ford molded block under the pumpkin and axle with 5/8" Grade 8 bolts also with the threads up. Not the best pics but you get the idea

How come you went with bolts and the ford plate rather than a u bolt set up. I'm thinking about notching a web or something and using 4 ubolts.

I didn't want to take any metal away from the casting and it was easier to use the block /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I guess it's not a clearance issue with it being that close to the pumpkin. Threads up is good though.

True the block takes away some ground clearance but the threads were my main concern.

On the drivers side did you notch the web on the bottom to keep the ubolt from sliding when tightened?
