As said what are you trying to do?

The fuel gauge dies when I turn the lights on. and the dash lights dont come on. I want to look an see where it might be loose. And can I reach up there or am I going to have to pull it out to fix it. And since its so old should I replace it...?

Also I want to count the bulb holes. Make sure Im not missing some that I just didnt feel.

Im going to do the silver paint thing to brighten it up , but I didnt want to have to do it right now.
I have to go to my moms house to work on it and right now I can afford to leave it over night.

:bow::bow:
Is it a 77?? can you take a pic Please??? :bow::bow::D

I have one but it has the Tach setup. A guy sells the printed circuit board on ebay for about $9.99 every month. If you want me to take a picture of the Tach one let me know.

I guess it might help me figure out where the ground might have came loose. But I have a feeling it has to do with the gas gauge, dont you?
So ,yes please send me a pic.:bow:

I found the right pic on ebay ( $80!! ):surepal: :screwy: :surepal: :screwy:
After staring at it Im afraid i broke the circuit at the lower left light bulb hole.
Because the day before I was messing in that area.:doah:
I must have been very brittle it thats the case,I don't remember snagging anything :dunno:

The printed circuit or the plastic housing? If it the printed just email the guy in the link I posted he will sell you one for the $9.99 if it is the housing they are a dime a dozen. I will see how many I have.

Gauge failure is about the only thing you can't fix. The circuit boards almost never go bad, and they have copper anyways, so you can solder it with care.

If anything, the copper that isn't clad in plastic, at the panel connector and light bulb sockets, might have peeled up, and is simply no longer making contact. Pull the cluster, and check it out. Should be enough slack in the cluster wiring to connect it without putting it back in, so you can easily test while you are working on it.

I dont know yet,it will be weekend after next before I can check it at least. I have to finish my lift this weekend and next. Then I am gonna pull it and paint the inside and see if I can figure out whats wrong.
The one that guys selling wasnt for mine,it was for a tach cluster I think.
