does ORD have the "short" 32 spline 465 shafts...

i am currently running a 10 spline 465/205... i have broken about 6 coupling shafts/ adapters and was wanting to go 32 spline... so i got a 32 spline 465 for a 208 and that output is too long... so i hear mention of a 32 spline "short" and want to buy one...

so ultimately what i want to end up w/ is a 32 spline 465 short shaft, a factory 465/205 figure 8 adapter and my 205 w/ a 32 spline input installed on it... is this feasible

Their short 32 spline shaft works with the OE 465/203 adapter and a 32 spline 203. From what I've read they don't have any but are considering a batch if there's enough demand. I'd be interested in one too.

Sorry draggbody, I rear right over what you were wanting to do without paying attention. While talking to Stephen I asked if this would work and he said he was pretty sure you'd end up about an inch too short even with a long 205 input.

Edit: upon re-reading this thread, I realize I am mistaken. I do indeed have a 465 short 32 shaft on order but, mine is for use with a 203/205 doubler, not a 205 like y'all are looking for. I mis-understood the thread, my apologies!

We may look into a 32 spl shaft for just the 205 but we're going to have to have some commitments to make it happen, I don't think they're going to light the world on fire.
You can go with a round 205 with the short input and use a 208 adapter and the factory 32 spline output shaft. The kink there is finding the round 205...

i have acctually came up w/ a solution to this problem... i used a 32 spline 465 that came in front of a 208... i used my figure 8 205 w/ a short 32 spline input... then i called jeds machine and he is building an adapter to hook the two together.... i looked at the 208 adapter, and even w/ a 6 bolt 205 it was 7/8" too long... it would have "worked" but not w/ full spline engagement... and w/ the breakage problems i keep having, i need all the strength i can get...

jeds is a cool guy and was enthusiastic to work on something unique....
