I went and looked at a np205 that came off a 4x4 TH400 today and the input on the np205 looked the same as my 203 off of my TH400 but the adaptor was way thicker. I'm not sure what combo I need to use to get a TH400/NP205. Here is a pic of what I got. What do I need to mate a NP205 to this set up?

i dont want to sound mad. but i told you in your last thread post #17. yes thay are both 32 spline but length diffrent. you will require a tail shaft for the 205 swap. as the 203 is only 203 in a th400. and there is 2 205 shafts as to what adaptor style the 205 has.

so in short.

1= 205 with 32 spline input.
1=correct adaptor to 205 for style of input and to fit 400.
1=tail shaft for 400 to fit 205 style you have.

I apoligize. You are right! What if I find a np205 with a long 32 spline input and use a short input adaptor? Or should I just stick with the 203?

now thats somthing to think of. long input on old adaptor to use 203 output shaft?

but i dout it. you want about 7/8-15/16 spline length engagement for best strength.

i would go 205 my self. or get dubbler kit and go that way. few more bucks thay tail swap but better in the end. and longer frt shaft for better angle.
