Rear axle locked up and blew out the front u-joint.

Yay.

Luckily a friend of mine is hooking me up with a new rear axle and driveshaft. Bad thing is that I have a hell of a week coming up so the truck is going to have to sit for at least a week. :doah:

My dad has a minivan he never drives, so I get to rock that for a week or more.

From your build thread:

It might last til May, or it might not last the next 5 miles. I had one not give me any issues, then trying to back out of a parking spot it blew chunks through the cover...

That's why they get called the "Gov-bomb". It will blow up, you just don't get to know how long the fuse is.

As soon as it happened I heard you saying "trying to back out of a parking spot it blew chunks through the cover". :haha:

You mean your Blazer being flaccid and needing a couple Viagra?

Is that a nail in your tire?

:haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

And I have no idea if that is a nail or not, didn't even notice that. I'm going to replace those tires now that I need 8-lug wheels anyway.

Just for curiosity's sake, how many miles on it when it blew? Mine has 163k on it now, it's on it's last legs. I just picked up a NOS govbomb 10 bolt meant for a M1009 still in it's original crate last Friday night for $250. If I get another 163k out of the new one, I'll be happy!

194k on this one. :)

I scored a set of H2s for $100, just need to find one more 70%+ tread 315 BFG.
