I drove up the mountain yeterday going from 3000' to about 6000' covering about 15 miles. I pulled off thr road and shut it off to wait for my dad. as I statred it back up i drove about 1/4 mile and it starved for fuel and died. I started it up and it ran for a few seconds and starved for fuel again I repeated this process untill I got off the road. this continued untill I decided to let it sit while we BBQed. after waiting for about three hours I started it up again and drove it home with no trouble since. does this sound like it vapor locked. the temp was around 100 degrees when left home.

thanks

I have had that happen to me while in my backyard. I had hood up and was timing the truck but I had the truck about three feet away from the back of the house wall. It died then started up and died and repeated. After 20 minutes it started up again, ran for bout' 5 minutes and it died again. It started again bout 20 minutes later and I backed it away from house and it never happend again. I thought it was vapor loc when it happend to me. It was also about 100-105 that day.
