It's times like this I wish I had a front driveshaft...

Yes my truck is completely stuck :doah::doah::doah:

See what all this snow does to a guy, you actually want to get shafted:haha:

That was the story of my life back when all I had was 2wd rigs... If you wait an hour or two for the ice under it freeze up, and very gently ease off the brake in reverse, sometimes you're tire will stick to the ice enough to pop you out. Or, it might just start spinning, and make it worse :P

So no front prop and no rear locker i guess? :p:
One wheel drive...may as well get a motorcycle:D If you put your park brake on gently in those situations it can often help by spreading the torque to both wheels........what? No park brake either? :doah:

:D :D

That's just embarrassing! Looks like the ricers were able to get into their parking spots OK. ;)

Hmm too bad little mrk5 isn't there. I can hear him now. "Nit twuk tuk in da pawking wot, dat punny. Daddy go pull him out!"

Might try getting 2 or 4 college guys to shove the rear end sideways when you are spinning a rear wheel. Hey dont you have a winch?????

:haha:yes it is my project truck. Although with no weight in the back the rear locker is useless especially when they don't clear our parking lot and underneath that fresh snow is just a sheat of ice :p:

I got my roomate to help me get it into the spot at around midnight last night...just needed a little nudge

...and only for a SECOND did I consider winching off of my apartment building

dont let the heep boards get ahold of this! they would have a field day:haha:

you need .......

CHAINS!...and WEIGHT!!..the 2 things needed most in a 2wd truck in snow!...

Pile some sand bags in the back, and get some tire chains--even just one or two "cross links" bolted around the tire to the rim work wonders, when traction is hard to come by..if you had tall skinny tires I bet it would have walked right through that snow no sweat..big wide tires= too much floatation!..

I used a length of roller chain (from an old motorcycle),bolted to my rims to help plow my driveway once, when one of my hubs froze up and wouldn't lock in one snowy day, when the driveway had a sheet of ice under the snow..
I didn't have any tire chains at the time..but once I put two peices of roller chain around each back tire,I had no problem moving the snow in 2wd..made for a bumpy ride though!..

I'll spill the beans about the most embarassing part of this story. This is the 2nd time his roommate has helped get into the parking space. And then there's the time he was stuck in the middle of a city side street, blocking all traffic from passing. And getting stuck behind my shop, but at least there was some snow depth there.

Don’t feel too ashamed. :D

I was right along with you until I replaced that rear axle and made my square front DS.:doah: I had to have the neighbor kids give me a push to parallel park the K5 in front of the house.:doah:

I blamed it on being extremely off-camber in the rutted snow/ice that the plow left.:haha: :haha:

You guys are an embarassment to the Colorado Crew.

:haha:

That's happened to me before man.....

Atleast you got yours into the parking spot. I had to go out the store in the morning and get a couple bags of ice to lay down......

Had to call in sick for work.... try and explain to your boss that your 4X4 got stuck in 4-6 inches of snow!
