So I'm getting out if the Army soon headed back to NC, which means the k5 is about to get some love. Looking at building a torquey 383. Want to reuse my L05 heads that I'll clean up the bowls and runners, screw in studs, TPI intake, LS computer, 10:1 compression, 6" rods, looking to use the 268 XFI roller cam I'll like to use 1.6 rockers but if not 1.5s. I dont plan on turning it over 5k. Anyone know much much you can machine the heads to take enough lift to clear the .575 valve lift I'll need?
