DOM tubing questions.

Gotta gather some up to build a cage. Something simple to begin with. 6 point cage. Something to make the k5 strong enough to make her full convertable without folding in half.
After searching for a little while and not finding the answers I am looking for I have to ask a few questions. Roughly what lengths would I want the tube in, about how many lengths, thickness and should I use 2" or 1.75 ?

They only come in 20 foot lengths, and 1.75" is perfect.

That is not totally correct. Mine came in non standard lengths when we got it so mose of mine is 22'. Anyhow 1.75x.120 is normal for cages.

1.75" x .120" DOM is plenty strong enough and a full stick comes anywhere from 17-24' but you can buy whatever partial length you want since it is sold by the foot.

If I order dom it comes in random lengths from 17' to 24' although most has been in the order of 22'.

Thxs for the answers. I'm gonna have to start picking up a length here and there as I can afford it. My k5 has been off the road for a few years and I'm miss it.
