It is a 1985 Blazer with a Four Wheel Camper and military trailer. I bought this from a gentleman who worked for the camper company in California. He moved to Oklahoma City in about 2005 and put this on Craigslist. He had replaced the 350 before he moved. I have had the 700 R4 rebuilt and beefed up a few years ago. I had the military trailer built utililing the same factory wheels as the Blazer and the spare is under the trailer.
this was used for fossil hunting and I lived in it for months at a time. I took it on a 1,000 mile trip in 2020. I have a local gentleman interested but don’t know what to ask. My body is failing me at 75 so think I need to start selling my trucks.

You’ve got a great setup. It’s clean and well taken care of. I’ve followed some of your posts on wander the west and have seen your setup come up when I search for FWC Blazer campers a lot.

I know a guy in California that really wants one of these units in a bad way. He bought one from Colorado and it got destroyed in transit to CA. He’s been all over me on instagram looking for one.

If you want to PM me your info I can pass it along.

As far as price, such a clean well cared for example could go upwards of $20k or better. Hard to say when clean examples are so rare to show up for sale.

One option is getting in touch with the folks at Bring A Trailer online auction site. I’ve followed a couple of other FWC camper units on a Bronco and Ramcharger and they both did well on BaT.

Yours is a later version which has the a lot of the better features. Rounded windows, revised layout. Probably better construction than the earlier units like mine.

amazing camping rig- wish mine was closer to that so I could start using it more NOW before MY body gets anymore beat up. I will be scrounging for some of your posts -my cousin is a young geologist and spends a bunch of time fossil hunting. I would like to join him next time.

good luck with the sale, and i wont even mention what something like that would go for out here in southern CA- it's looney toons, and could be very different any day now. cant go on forever.

i will say top dollar will probably come from BaT, but if you dont need absolute top dollar, try to get it in the hands of another enthusiast. Often time they are dealers who will look to flip them if they can get a good price on BaT.

I think 20K is too low. Bring a trailer isn't what it used to be, check out carsandbids.com. there have been recent instances where auctions didn't meet reserve on BAT but they sold for well over reserve on carsandbids.

my self i have not been impressed with the bring a trailer listings i have seen asking high buck . there not as picky anymore and lots of crap is getting listed . crap as in miss listed and or lipstick on a pig stuff .
