sucks doesn't it. When I bought my Ramcharger I had to drive out of town to get it and it was only 2wd. A week later there was a cleaner 4x4 Ramcharger for the same price a few blocks from the house.

bought my 1986 CUCV with 55k original miles for $1500, some rust, but otherwise very solid. i think with all the repairs ive done since, (basically the maintanence that should have been done over the past ten years and wasnt) ive put around 4500 into it. still needs a paintjob though, the four different shades of white arent workin for me.
