Hello all,

I have a 1979 2WD that has a seized 350 in it. Its in pretty rough shape overall but we all start somewhere. My dad had an idea to use a 2012 camaro LS as a donor vehicle. We could take driveline and braking system, power steering etc. I was looking at a tahoe donor or something similar from copart. But im starting to wonder if his camaro idea holds any merit. Does anyone have any idea if this would work/what would be usable without major modifications? I have a well stocked shop, but I dont know how to weld (yet). My goal is to get this K5 alive by end of summer. would the camaro idea be viable? any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome @redorange.

Your camero is a v8 ls? The engine and Trans will basically bolt in. You'll need to adjust the wiring harness computer will need a tune.
Drive shaft will need made or one the 2 modified.
Probably a few other mods.
I would need the bazer steering, add a power steering pump to your engine. I am assuming a 12 Camero has electric rack an pinion

If the engine is a v6 is it gonna fit? or will i need special motor mounts? the steering in the blazer is original, and yes i think the camaro is electric rack and pinion. im pretty sure its 3.6L V6 in the camaro. Thanks for your reply!

Your going to need new mounts either way, but ls mounts are common. The v6 idk
