Anybody ever done anything like this? I'd like to redo these fagged out door panel inserts. I was thinking about gluing down foam with gaps where the "pleats" are and gluing down the fabric in between the foam blocks. Anybody got any tips?

Here's what I'm starting with...

one thing I CAN assure you.......

PB Blaster will do nothing for your upholstery work... :haha:

you might wanna try cutting a taper to the foam at the edges, to help it "take" in those areas...

Neither will the bed sheet I bought at the goodwill. But it, like the PB Blaster it's found a home on the trunk of my '66 New Yorker. She serves as a shelf/ workbench on occasion.

I took the fabric off of mine and wrapped it in blue camo fabric with new foam and used super77 and that was 4 yrs ago.

I redid mine with the same fabric I used for the headliner. You can get the foam-backed headliner material in several colors at your local fabric store. I skipped the pleats and haven't really missed them.
