OK so as i am getting ready to put big red back together I needed the little plastic push screws for the door panels. I went to the paint supply place and they did not have them. So I stop at O'Really and get the um we have those in the little plastic thingy. We go back and NOPE if they did it would of been $2 for three.

So I said I know they teach you all to use the computer to find stuff but do you have a Dorman catalog? He says um yea. So we get it and I start looking in 30 seconds I have the part number (700-414).

He says it will be a special order. I say OK I am not paying (three letter name) .95 cents each for them. He calls they are .49 cents each I say I need 14 ($6.86). He says there will be $10.95 shipping charge. :doah:

I proceed to tell him I hope I am going to get kissed in the process. The lady I know there burst out laughing :haha:.

So I come home go on line and Summit has them box of 25 for $8.97 and $4.95 shipping for a total of $13.92 and that is 25 of them!

So if you need new ones they are Dorman 700-414 Interior Trim Panel Fasteners

just go to any autobody supply store.. they have all that stuff.. usually it's a display with a million other trim clips, etc...

The Optometrist called said your glasses were ready to be picked up.

I agree, find a better place. I've bought these buy the dozen in the past from local stores. The most likely reason your store did have them would be because the trucks are old and not going to the body shops like they used to. I'd bet they could have ordered them.

We have a place here in town that carries only trim, clips, gaskets and all of the clips and screws ever made. They had correct 1934 interior trim screws in stainless.

All I can tell you guys is that sometimes western Colorado really looks behind the times! And Metro is in an even smaller area of civilization!

When NAPA changed their floor plan a bit last year, they started carrying all kinds of clips and fasteners...I couldn't believe it....I went in looking for small J clip and right there on the second aisle from the front door was all the trim clips, hood insulation retainers, door panel keepers....wish I had known before I ordered a lot of that stuff from LMC....plus NAPA has a big binder like Fastenal at the counter and they can get whatever they don't have the next day...sometimes the same day.

this might be it: 4.95 for a bag of 7

they might have them in smaller quantities on that aisle
