Does anyone use these vintage door jam stickers? There is so much more info here then just the change oil stickers. If I were to use these stickers I would copy the last service millage for each item when applying a new service decal. I wonder why people stopped using this type of decal?

I have some simple ones in my tool box, from when I retired, we put them on the windshield where our operators could see them. All the new cars have maintenance reminders. My old burb the speedo quit, but I use an old phone as a gps speedo and mileage tracker, then a note app to log mpg and maintenance.

I decided to design my own door jam service decal. I'm going to try and get 3 or 4 decals on a letter size avery sticker.

I made some changes to the design. I can fit 6 decals on a letter size sheet. The decals fit perfectly on the door jam for a 01 Silverado.

The stickers get dirty, fade and generally look like crap IMO. I keep a log for each car, it's too hard to remember all the shit I've done to each car let alone the date and mileage the work was done.

I just got back from the autoparts store. Behind the counter they had some static oil change window reminders. The clerk told me no one asks for them so he gave me maybe 25+ decals.

The door jambs get wet typically so most I ever saw were pretty crispy by time the next service happened. I agree, they look bad like that. We used window clings that would be run through a little printer so they were legible. Tech's penmanship with sharpies on the blank window clings was usually less than desired.

I don't do any reminder on my stuff. I use my app that I track fuel economy with. I can add other services as well as set mileage based reminders.

Have a log book in the coach since both my brother and I use it at different time we can see if the other did something and when, plus both has medium cases of CRS

What app is this? Sounds pretty handy.

Drivvo is the app. You can keep track of two vehicles on the free version. App is on droid and iOS platforms and having used on both they do work the same way on each. Plus when I switched to a iPhone all the data transferred over when I logged in. Nothing lost.

I guess I'm old school. I keep a binder with a list of all maintenance and modifications performed with dates and mileage (many loose leaf sheets by now!) as well as all my receipts, for everyone of my rigs.
