I have a spent door latch mechanism cover (red, below) on my '72 K5 that needs replacement. Any idea where to find one if all the Denver JY are coming up empty? Not sure I am searching the catalogs under the right terms.
Last time I checked they weren't available. One of the items guys are constantly scavenging off of old blazers. Best bet imo is to pull it off and refurbish it. It doesn't look rusted out, just bent up. Nothing a BFH couldn't fix.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try it. Those have been spot welded to the door in 18 ga sheet metal, so I gotta be gentle. I thought the door was supposed to be assembled like this one (green).

My real issue is the latch wheel cover came unattached from the rest of the assembly underneath, and is floating around loose, which makes for some interesting drama under way. It needs to be rewelded. That'll be the easy part. Lining everything up so it is happy will be the real test.
We carry the door latches and mounting hardware but do not have a source for the door latch reinforcement plates. You find the door latch and mounting screws on following page of our website https://gmcpauls.com/door_parts.htm
