Well I might be getting a rust free door for my 78'

The only problem is that I have the molding and this door doesnt

so what would be the best way to put the modlings on? like lining em up and and how to attach the chrome

well i believe they are bolted on so what i'd do before it gets painted is to bolt the door up, line up the molding from there using tape to adjust. wherever the holes are to be drilled i'd just mark under the molding on the door and remove the molding. then you know where your holes are supposed to go. IIRC the holes can be moved a little cause i believe the fasteners slied a little ?? i think

if i get a chance i will ask my buddy at the body shop

or i will be simple and just attach that side with some screws and emblem tape

There are a few different way that the trim is attached. I believe the doors should have two screws, and then some clips. Regardless, you just drill holes to match the door you are removing, then attach the clips. If I was going to do this, I would buy new clips to ensure a secure attachment.

i am glad this was mentioned. i was going to pull mine off of my '82, but thought they were held on by adhesives like the new ones. i don't feel like having little holes all down the side of my k5.

another question the door is cheap to cheap i think. Rust free, only a couple of small dings, All of the guts, and the glass for $25

the guy say its a OEM door

i dont no what rust free doors go for here in the rustbelt
