I want to take the power windows out of my 85 and put them in my 74. But I want the door panels to look original. (no empty holes where the crank was). Will the panels from a later model fit in the 74?
I don't think the inner door has all the provisions to mount the power setup. That's why the door panels covered a larger area when power became an option.
Mounting the stuff inside can be done.
The panels and inner door skinds are different though, while it can fit up and screw down, they'll be gaps. The 73-76 panels stop halfway down and there's a big ridge there, that a full lenght panel will have to ride over. It can be modified to fit, but it's not a bolt up deal. You'll be drilling the door and cutting the panel to make it fit right.
